Doctor Visit

I went to the doctor's today, I saw Dr. Hegel, she is one of Daddy's friends. I weighed 25.6 lbs and I am still a shortie! Everything else looked great. Mommy had to fill out a milestone survey and I scored really well. Of course, when I had to run or jump, I was not in the mood to do so, but Dr. Hegel understood. She also gave me a new book to take home and told me I had bunnies in my ears, I thought that was pretty funny!

I had my appointment today too. It was my 2 week check-up. I weigh 6 lbs 13 ounces now, just like my brother did when he was born! Dr. Hegel checked me out all over, and I checked out a-okay! I go back in 2 months.

Mommy and Daddy were very proud of us today. They couldn't be more blessed than with 2 healthy children. We miss everyone so much. We are planning to come up Labor Day weekend!

Out on the Porch

One of my big brother's favorite things to do is to play on our front porch. I think Nana and Mom Mom figured that one out pretty quickly when they watched him. He loves to bring his cars outside to play. I like sitting on Mommy's lap and most of the time I end up falling asleep as she rocks. Ahhh the lazy days of summer.....

First Big Outing

Mommy took us to the Children's Museum today in Portsmouth. We met some other mommies there from our Time for Tots group. I went straight for the train room as usual. But then about a million field trips arrived all at once and the place was a madhouse! I didn't get to play trains much. I liked watching the trains go around and around though. I pushed the button to make the crane go up. I also drove a firetruck, motorcycle, and bus! Soon Lucy needed to eat so we headed back home. I had a good time, I just wish there were not so many big kids there. Mommy and Daddy wanted to let you all know how proud they are of me. I have been talking so much and counting up a storm. I also started learning some letters, we learned A and B this week. I remember them because A is for apple juice and B is for baby. I also love playing all by myself now. Mommy and Daddy love to watch me play with my cars and animals, as I make noises and make them "talk." I have gotten pretty clever with making up little games to play. I can find something fun to do with a balloon or a ball. Both Mommy and Daddy love to see my imagination grow. Oh one more thing, for some reason during nap or at bedtime, I end up asleep on the floor and not in my bed. I guess I have too much fun playing in my room before I fall asleep!

As you can see, I did not see much of the museum. Mommy had me strapped on in the baby carrier and that just knocked me out, even with all of those crazy kids. I have been awake during the day much more often lately. Of course, when Daddy comes home to see me, I am usually exhausted, so I am back to sleep. I am still being a good girl at night for Mommy and a good eater too!

As you can see, Logan's walk really tired us both out.

Mommy's First Day On Her Own

Today is Mommy's first day alone with the two of us. I promised Daddy I would be really good when he left for work this morning. So far, I have kept my promise and Lucy continues to be a delight! We had fun playing in the pool this morning. My friend India came over for a popsickle as well. I played with the water gun that Mom Mom got me. I can't wait to share the other one with Colin. I also wanted to show off my new toothbrush and Mommy bought me Thomas the Train toothpaste! I like to brush my own teeth now too!
I have been a good girl all day for Mommy. RJ helped give me a bath this morning. I tried out the new Baby Bjorn outside, I think I liked it, I fell right to sleep. You should see me on my tummy. I like to kick my legs against the floor and scoot myself up. I am not sure what I am after, but it is fun to do!
We miss and love everyone so much!!

First Doctor Visit

Hello! I went to the doctors today for the first time, I can't believe it has been 1 week already! I did really well when the doctor checked me. I am supposed to gain back to my birth weight by 2 weeks and I did it in 1! I am a good eater! I also grew almost 2 inches! I have to go back next week for a second check-up and then I don't have to go back until 2 months. It was an exhausting day, I am really tired out now.

Greetings! I have been loving my little sis the past couple of days. I like to give her kisses and Mommy and Daddy even let me hold her. I do a great job bringing diapers when needed and giving her a bath. Of course, I wish I had more Mommy and Daddy time, but I am getting used to it. I can't wait to show Lucy to everyone! I also counted to 10 the other day! Miss and love you! Coach is coming today, Chicky Chicky Woo Woo!

Lucy is here!

Well, she finally made it! It was definitely an experience to say the least. We are all so happy to be home and she is doing so well. We take her for her one-week check-up on Friday. RJ seems fascinated by her and has been really sweet. Of course, he likes to show his adjustment issues in other ways, but for the most part he is doing well for being through so much the past 3 weeks. Here is a video of Lucy's first bath, she did not like it very much. As soon as they did her hair though, she relaxed as if she were in a spa, typical girl. We are thinking of visiting at the end of August. I know everyone wants to meet her so badly, but we need some time at home for a bit. Miss and love you all!
