Oakleaf Meet and Greet

Today we had a Meet and Greet playdate at our house. It was fun to meet some new friends and Mommy and Daddy made some new friends as well. I think the kids liked playing at my house and then we watched some of my favorite shows together. Check out my haircut! My sister and I are so excited to see everyone next week.

Town Point Park

What a beautiful sunny day! We met up with Miss Abigail, Colin and Joel at Town Point Park in Norfolk. It was really hot out! First, we painted a mermaid. Then we had some yummy food to eat. Thank you Miss Abigail for letting me eat all of Colin's lunch! I am a sucker for fruit snacks. Afterwards, we went to play with some lawn activities (frisbees, hula hoops, etc...). I was not too into it but Colin loved it. There was also a steel drum band playing, I loved dancing to it. When we first got there, there was a sign that said the fountains were closed but all of a sudden they turned on. Colin was soaking wet! I just liked standing back to watch. Lucy had a good time too. She likes being outside near the water and falling asleep to the drums. It was a really fun morning, thank you Miss Abigail for inviting us!

Virginia Beach

Daddy and Mommy took us to the beach today. We walked along the boardwalk and RJ played on the playground right on the beach! We were going to do some rides, but they really did not have any for us little guys. Mommy felt so badly too because she kept telling RJ he might get to ride the horses (Merry Go Round). Of course when we get there, they don't have one. RJ picked out a new car though and then Daddy, being the great dad that he is, took RJ to the horse stables on the Oceana base. We are planning to go back to ride them some time this fall. It was a beautiful day though, great sleeping weather for me at the beach!

Another Playdate

Joal and Colin came to play again today. I was more awake this time. I also met my new pal Davan, he came home from the hospital yesterday. My Mommy and Miss Heidi were roomies at the hospital during their stay. Davan and I really put them through a lot, good thing they had each other! RJ liked playing with Colin on the porch, playing ball and riding in the back of his firetruck while Colin drove. It was a fun morning! We are going to try to make it to the boardwalk sometime this week or weekend with Daddy. I can't wait to watch RJ go on the rides!

Oh Mommy also wanted to share RJ's new sayings, "Come on," when he doesn't want to do something. "Seriously Rob," as he talks to his father. Yeah someone thinks he is pretty slick. Mommy and Daddy have to stop laughing when he does it though or they are in for it!

Southern Belle

I think my Mommy thinks it is funny to dress me up in all of these outfits. Do you think that hat is big enough?!

Miss You

We just wanted to say that we miss everyone so much and can't wait to see you soon! We are excited because our cousins, Ava and Reese, are coming to visit in December. Also, we have a new baby cousin, Liam Patrick! Congrats Aunt Jacki and Uncle Pat! Labor Day weekend will be here before you know it! Love you!
Mommy also wanted you to know what a big helper RJ has been. The other day Lucy was crying in her crib and Mommy told RJ to go talk to her. When Mommy came in, Lucy was content and RJ was talking with her and playing with her feet through the crib. Too cute!

First Fridays in Portsmouth

We went to the First Friday event in Old Towne Portsmouth tonight. Daddy and Mommy walked Lucy and I. There was live music and I even got a picture painted of a fish for free! My favorite part was looking at all the motorcycles in one of the museums. They even had cookies! It was a lot of fun and best of all I got to spend it with my Daddy.

Playdate with Colin

Finally, Colin and I got together to play today! It has been a long time, so long that both our mommies had babies. We had fun playing with my firetruck, dinosaurs and cars. In true RJ style, I treated Colin to one of my favorite movies, "Finding Nemo." We also played with our new siblings. Joal and Lucy seemed to hit it off well. I am sure they will be best buds in no time. After everyone left, I wanted to do some serious dancing. Check out my moves! Don't be jealous Uncle Mike! Labor Day weekend will be here before you know it! We will be up from the 4th-7th.

Story Time and Play Center at MacArthur Center Mall

Lucy was up all night last night, I think she might be trying to be like me. That was her first bad night so far. I was up today at 5 too, Mommy and Daddy loved it! I went to the Barnes and Noble story time at the mall this morning. It was the first day of Toddler School. We sang songs and listened to stories about the alphabet. Watch me move to "Wheels on the Bus" with the video. I also used my gift certificate that Aunt Irene, Uncle Ed, Uncle Jim and Aunt Loretta gave me and picked out a tractor book. Next, we went to the play center. I love it there, it is so fun to run and climb over everything. I was a good boy and played while Mommy fed Lucy. Now after all that action, I am one tired little boy.

RJ read some stories to me today when we got back from the mall. He is a good reader! I also heard that our new cousin might be on his way. Good luck Aunt Jacki and Uncle Pat, we love you!

Dino Puppet Show

We went to Chesapeake Park's Fun Forest Playground today. I watched a Dino Puppet show and played on the swings too! It was a nice morning with Mommy. Lucy stayed home with Daddy, that was so nice of her. Daddy likes the rotation he is on. I think it has something to do with sport's medicine. All I know is I get to see him a lot more often. I am liking it!
