Guess Who Is Crawling?

Well I finally did it, I am all over the place now! Mommy and Daddy really have to watch me since I scoot so quickly over the hardwood floors! I was playing trucks with my big brother today. It is nice that he lets me play with him, just as long as I don't touch his big trucks. Oh, I can also push myself back to a sitting position too! I heard there is more snow back in Jersey. Hopefully, spring will be here soon, we want to go out and play in the sun! Love and miss you! (7 1/2 months)

A Sunny Day

Today Colin and his Mommy came to play! We tried to find this horse parade that was supposed to happen, but never did. So we walked to Starbucks and got a yummy treat instead. It was so nice out that we continued our walk to the little park near Daddy's hospital. Daddy and Logan came too! Colin and I had fun climbing on the tanks. As we loaded the canons, we found sticks and pretended they were swords. Ahoy!

Happy Birthday Miss Abigail!

7 Months

Lucy is 7 months old already! Where does the time go?

  • sits up with minimal support, but will fall over when not paying attention
  • creeping all over the place, getting faster
  • rocking on hands and knees, almost crawling
  • waves to everyone and everything when she wakes up
  • sleeps through the night now
  • major separation anxiety
  • loves ALL food, we really have a hard time eating in front of her, poor girl
  • still will not take a bottle but has used a sippy cup with a straw
  • continuously goes after the carpets, they must be tasty
  • really keeps us on our toes, grabs cords, drawers, etc...
  • and my favorite, gets a huge grin and laughs when I tell her "no"
Oh and today I went to make a cup of coffee, only to come back in the playroom to find Lucy under the couch!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day! My brother and I went on a heart hunt this morning to find our gifts. RJ got "The Lion King" and I got a new book called "Baby Faces." We also went to Cold Stone today for some ice cream. RJ shared his with me, vanilla with oreo cookies, yum! Mommy and Daddy are having sushi tonight. Mommy did not tell Daddy that she had sushi twice last week when she was home. We have a fun week coming up, a play-date at Miss Heidi's, an IHOP lunch and a horse parade this weekend! Stay tuned for more updates.

Jersey Visit

We made it back to Virginia this morning! We had a lot of fun in New Jersey this week though. It was neat to celebrate Mommy's birthday and Valentine's Day. I could not believe all of that snow, what a blizzard! It was taller than I was, but I loved throwing snowballs at everyone. Aunt "Cake" took me out in the snow and also played on the computer with me. I think I got Poppop good with a few snowballs. MomMom was my sleeping buddy this week and I loved watching the band shows with her over and over again, oh and don't forget that elephant from Thomas the Train, and those silly train faces. I liked having hot chocolate with Nana and counting all of her marshmallows! Aunt Kyle likes to tease me, but I think I got her back a few times. My mom loves the new song she taught me. Coach played with me at Nan's house in the back room. We even had visits from Aunt Becca, Aunt Katrina, Uncle Russell, Robert, Jil and Trish. Thank you so much everyone for coming to see us. It was nice having Valentine's dinner at Nan's with everyone too. Thanks for the rocking chair Nan, it was fun! Thanks again to everyone and we miss you all so much already!

Chocolate Playdough Mmmmmmmm

We made chocolate play-dough today, it was soooo much fun! It smelled "delicious" as I like to say. Lucy liked squishing it in her fingers and then she realized she could taste it too! I made chocolate candies and put them in the big heart. I played with it for almost 2 hours! We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow! We are so excited!

Funnies

So RJ was watching the parade today for doing the deed on the potty, we watch this parade like a million times a day! Anyway, we usually fast forward commercials except when it shows this one commercial about abused pets. RJ will NOT let me fast forward that one. So today he was watching it and all of sudden said, "Mommy I am done with the parade, I have to find Logan, he needs me." Good thing the kid doesn't know how to use a credit card or we'd be giving hundreds to the animal welfare association!

Also, Lucy is finally sleeping through the night! Woo hoo! She has also discovered how to play peek-a-boo, as she hides her face with a blanket and takes it away. It is so cute!
