Jersey Visit Continued

Mom Mom took us swimming at Riverwinds, I loved climbing that mountain and Lucy actually liked the water! We went to see Aunt Michelle and her two little tikes. She had a huge ball pit as well as a bouncy house. Uncle Mike had some fans come see him dance too. I enjoyed dancing in the aisle all night long. We ate dinner at Robert's house, mmmmm endamame! Mom Mom also took us to Spread Your Wings. Lucy really liked climbing all over everything. Nana had Nan and Pop Pop's Anniversary dinner, I picked out chocolates for them. In addition, Nana and Aunt Kyle took us to Storybook Land. I loved the boat ride the best and Lucy loved all of the rides, she cried every time it was time to get off. Aunt Patty had us over for a playdate as well. I had fun having a parade with the kids!

Jersey Visit

Wow, how much fun did we have in Jersey this time.....a whole lot! We went to Josh's birthday party and ate yummy cake and ice cream. Nana surprised me with a huge frisbee and soccer ball to play with at their house. Lucy just loved her swing and really did not like getting out of it too much. I really liked playing in the hose, I got soaked! It was fun visiting with Aunt Cake, Aunt Jacki and Liam before they were off to visit Aunt Hillary in Hawaii. Mom Mom took me to the zoo and we saw lots of animals, rode the carousel, rode the train and even picked out a surprise! What a great day! That night, we had dinner at Chik Fil A with Trish. We even visited our old church and went to Mom's group to see all of our old friends.

RJ (May-almost "free" 3)

  • loves to talk and talk and talk and talk
  • loves to imitate sirens (Mommy loves this)
  • really into "reading" books now, it is so cute to see how proud he is of himself when he is finished (favorites: The Doggy Book, Snowballs)
  • still obsessed with bands (see video) and animals, he likes to have us hold the door open for all of the "animals" that need to come inside
  • still loves to snuggle "Mommy lay with me" and this goes along with still liking my hair down
  • likes playing and watching sports, especially Colin and Daddy play soccer
  • loves wrestling and playing hide and seek with Daddy, especially after Daddy has been at the hospital all night and walks in the door
  • loves watching dancing shows (ABDC for example)
  • enjoys staying up with Mommy and Daddy after Lucy goes to bed (my favorite time with him)
  • enjoys sprinklers and pools now
  • can identify all letters and numbers (1-10), also beginning to pick out things when we are driving (letters, stop signs, speed limit signs)
  • still a picky eater but once he finds something he likes he is all about it, like the huge bowl of endamame he ate the other night, also tried my sushi, not sure if I am ready to share with him yet though :0)

Botanical Gardens

We went to the Botanical Gardens for our last Tot's Group outing. It was super hot today! Good thing they had all of the fountains in the Children's garden to play with! Lucy did not like them too much, but she got a kick out of watching me.

It's a blanket, it's a teddy, it's Mommy's hair!

What would my children do without my hair? It is so funny how attached Lucy is, just like her big brother RJ. Both kids never had a special blanket or stuffed animal, it was always my hair. I could stop tears, cure boo boos, and calm fears with my hair. Also, ever since I stopped nursing Lucy, whenever I pick her up, she plays with my hair and starts doing this sucking thing with her lips and tongue. It is the funniest, yet cutest thing ever. My mom always joked I would have to send RJ off with a piece of my hair in his pocket on his first day of school. I think the teacher might get a little freaked out though.

Crawfish Boil

Aunt Nancy would be proud! We went to our first official Crawfish Boil tonight. It was right on the water and the weather was perfect. There were tables of crawfish, corn, and potatoes. I even helped clean them with a hose! I called them "bugs." They also had gumbo, I did not eat that though, it was too spicy, Mommy loved it! I had fun chasing the dogs, swinging on the swing, dancing to the band and walking by the water. Lucy had fun eating 1 1/2 hotdogs! It was a prefect night with Daddy's friends!

March of Dimes Walk

We had the March of Dimes Walk today downtown. I went with Miss Heidi and Davan. I wore my cheerleader outfit that Miss Michelle got me to cheer on the walkers! Rj did a great job and even walked some of the walk with Daddy. He had fun waving to all of the policemen.
