Dutch Wonderland

We had an enchanted time at Dutch Wonderland today, the weather could not have been more perfect. Despite the hurricane coming our way, it was very crowded. RJ and Lucy rode on the panda bears and bulldozers. RJ also rode these bouncing frogs as well as his first roller coaster with Mommy! He really liked it, Mommy's back did not enjoy it so much. Then they went on these little scooter things and played on them forever. They loved them! After that, we went to get french fries and watched a show. Then, RJ and Lucy played some games and won a couple of prizes. I really enjoyed a nice boat ride with everyone. We made it over to the waterpark next. My brother and sister could not get enough of it, especially RJ. He was running from fountain to fountain, slide to slide. Lucy had some issues taking turns on the slides, but she still had a good time....until it was time to go, and then she let EVERYONE in the park know she was not happy about it. We ended the day with some yummy donuts and a long ride home. The hurricane is coming tomorrow night and Mommy is very thankful for family and friends who have offered help and support for the storm. I may be calling it too early, but my weather prediction is that everyone will be in Mommy's bed tomorrow night!

EarthQuake

Yikes! Mommy was in the garage getting something for Daddy's care package and she heard this weird humming sound coming from the extra washer and dryer. As she was looking in the box, the garage doors started shaking, then the ground was moving. She thought it was her and she was having a fainting spell. Then she looked outside at the driveway and the car was rocking back and forth on its tires. Before she ran back inside, it was over. Lucy was shocked, as she was laying on the couch watching Little Bear. RJ was asleep in his room and so was I. It was a 5.8 magnitude quake that hit in Va. It was felt in 22 states though! Now we have Hurricane Irene on the way as well. Wow, my first year of birth is certainly going to be a year to remember!

We also went to the circus last night and I was an angel. I sat with Aunt Kyle most of the time but enjoyed laying on her and Mommy while watching the show. RJ loved the motorcycles of course and Lucy loved riding the pony.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

We went to the Riversharks game today. My first baseball game and first Merry Go Round ride! RJ had a blast. He cheered each time the batter was up and loved watching the train go across the bridge. Lucy liked drinking lemonade, then a slurpee and then some random lady's water. I hung out with Mommy in the shade most of the time and we left just in time before a thunderstorm. It was a great afternoon!

Finally, She Sleeps!

Well not through the night yet, but by herself, no pacifier, no rocking, thank you Dr. Ferber! She got it in one day and it has been such a help. She is so much more pleasant during the day because of her schedule. Ellie loves sleeping on her tummy now too, I put her down on her back and over she goes. She is also enjoying her cereal and sweet potatoes!

At the Beach

We went to Diamond Beach today with Nana and Nan. I slept most of the day but did enjoy the boardwalk breeze. I even tasted some cottoncandy! Mom Mom is coming tomorrow too, can't wait!
